I roll with Dave, keynote presentation takes young people on a climatic journey as Dave describes his life as a troubled high school drop to top fraud investigator. At only 15 Dave had been expelled from two schools and had been kicked out of home, forced to sleep on the beach. Dave's life was headed for serious trouble when his three best friends went to prison for murder, It was then he began to see life was no longer a game and decided get his own back on track. Within a few years dave was managing a night club security firm with over 400 employees. With his new found success Dave pursued his childhood dream of becoming a fraud investigator. Despite initially being rejected because of his lack of education and suffering from dyslexia, Dave worked over seven years to re-educate himself, eventually being named as Queensland top fraud investigator. At the top of his field , Dave changed paths again when he was inspired to work in maximum security prisons after seeing a young man commit a double rape and triple murder on the evening news.It was here inside the prison Dave met this teen and began his life work of inspiring young people to live their best life. Not afraid to tell it how it is Dave confronts the hots topic of today, drugs, alcohol and depression meeting youth where they are at. They will laugh and they might cry, but most of all they will leave inspired knowing that despite all odds, they too can pursue their dreams. |
